The winners of the 2016 Sunday Times’ Style Beauty Awards, in partnership with Boots UK, were announced at a ceremony at The News Building in central London this morning (Friday 27 May 2016).
Renowned columnist India Knight and Beauty Editor Sarah Jossel co-hosted the awards, and were joined by Style Editor Jackie Annesley who welcomed the guests to the event.
Fast becoming the Oscars of the beauty world, this year the awards received more than 500,000 votes for products across 20 categories. This has established the awards as the largest of its kind in the market – fitting for the UK’s market-leading luxury fashion and beauty title.
The awards are being supported with high-profile newspaper advertising across The Times and The Sunday Times titles, as well as coverage on national radio stations – reaching 4million ABC1 adults.
Jackie Annesley, said:
The Style Beauty Awards champion the most popular beauty products, all voted for by the general public. This year more than half a million votes were cast. As the UK’s most read luxury fashion and beauty magazine, it was great to partner with another iconic British brand in Boots, to celebrate the best of UK’s beauty industry.”
Sarah Jossel, said:
It’s great to see such a mix of products and brands on this year’s winner’s list. With a wide range of beauty products from the high street, to the very high end, our readers know exactly what they want – they love a bargain, but our research also shows that 82% of them will equally happily pay extra for quality products. Our 1.3million readers can’t be wrong, go and try them for yourself.”
Helen Jeremiah, Director of Customer Strategy and Communications, Boots UK said:
We are excited to be in partnership with The Sunday Times Style on their annual Beauty Awards. All women’s makeup bags are different, but the one thing they have in common is the sheer range of brands contained within them.
