Former England striker and talkSPORT presenter, Darren Bent and his team mate/on air co-presenter Darren Ambrose have joined the exclusive line up for the Charity Football Match in honour of the Manchester bomb victims, Manchester Remembers.
Darren Bent hosts his own show Darren Bent’s Bootroom on the world’s biggest Sports station talkSPORT every Sunday evening and on April 3, the show will be coming live from the Manchester City Football Academy after the hosts themselves play in the charity match.
Darren Bent said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be involved in such a powerful cause. I can’t wait to get the boots back on on April 3rd.”
The ‘Manchester Remembers’, charity football match between footballing legends and celebrities will commemorate the victims of the Manchester Arena attack with monies raised donated to the following charities – some of which were set up by the families who lost loved ones in the arena attack in 2017 – Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, Liv’s Trust, The Megan Hurley Foundation, The Remembering Nell Foundation and Eilidh’s Trust.
Head of talkSPORT, Lee Clayton said: “We are honoured to be broadcasting from this powerful event and to support the Manchester Remembers match on talkSPORT. We will pay tribute to the victims, their families and everyone who has been affected by this atrocious attack. We hope that we’re able to increase awareness and raise funds for these important charities.”
To attend the game on April 3, you can purchase both standard and hospitality here. Adult tickets are priced at £20 and concessionary tickets £10. The Hospitality tickets start from £100 and include a 3-course meal as well as drinks before and after the game. Those in hospitality will also have the chance to take part in a raffle, where all proceeds will be donated to the five charities the match is supporting.
Darren Bent’s Bootroom is live every Sunday on talkSPORT with Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose and talkSPORT’s football reporter Alex Crook. The Show will be live from The Manchester Remembers game on April 3.
