Times and Sunday Times members will receive a fresh shot of mental stimulation as interactive puzzles microsites launch on smartphone and web for the first time.
Smartphone users hitherto have been limited to crossword-solving. The new release opens up seven additional puzzles, including reader favourites Polygon and KenKen, all accessible through a smart, new interface. MindGames (The Times) and Brain Power (The Sunday Times) will appear in the app menu upon release.
Running under the titles MindGames+ and Brain Power+, the new microsites for web feature a selection of top puzzles. Representing the first major increase in puzzles on this platform in several years, the sites give access to an archive of recent puzzles and will shortly be boosted by the release of further content.
David Parfitt, TNL’s Puzzles Editor, said:
“We’re extremely excited by the launch of these new products. As consumption patterns continue to shift, it’s crucial that we respond to changing needs, especially with the rise of smartphone usage. These releases give users a much more satisfying and consistent experience of puzzles across all devices.”
