talkSPORT is set to broadcast coverage of the Women’s Super League as the network bolsters its coverage of women’s domestic football following its coverage of major international women’s fixtures.
talkSPORT will broadcast around 20 games this season over eight marquee weekends across talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 and will also air coverage of the Women’s Continental Cup.
The team across the coverage includes former Leeds forward Lucy Ward; ex-Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and England forward with 50 caps for the Lionesses - Lianne Sanderson, plus commentators Nigel Adderley, Joe Shennan and Mark Wilson.
talkSPORT is also the only national station with a weekly women’s football show. Listeners can catch Women’s Football Weekly on Mondays at 7pm on talkSPORT 2 for all the latest news from the women’s game.
Lianne Sanderson said: “The Women’s Super League is one of the most competitive leagues, with some of the most famous players in the world. I hope we can inspire even more fans to the WSL through talkSPORT’s coverage.”

Our extended women’s football coverage will complement our existing football offering of more than 450 games this season for fans across the talkSPORT network.”
Coverage starts with Everton v Man City from Goodison Park on Saturday September 4 at 13:30 on talkSPORT, followed by Arsenal v Chelsea on Sunday September 5 at 12:30.
