The Times and The Sunday Times are proud to launch The Times of London Weekly, an international digital app that provides news-hungry readers with a world view from London.
The new app will pull together the most distinctive journalism from both titles in a single digital edition, published once a week on Thursdays.
The Times of London Weekly is designed to be a digestible read that will provide a snapshot of the most compelling news and opinion writing in Britain, covering affairs both at home and abroad.
It features the best of our agenda-setting British news, business and sports coverage, through to award-winning features, exclusive interviews and world class investigations.
Readers can follow the most influential columnists in Britain, and editorials that provide the Times’ take on the significant events and issues of the week.
John Witherow, Editor of The Times said:
The Times of London has long been one of the most famous newspapers in the world, built on a reputation for trusted, accurate reporting, incisive commentary, witty columnists and feature writing with flair. Our new weekly app offers international readers the very best of British journalism, which regularly sets the agenda at home and abroad.
Martin Ivens, Editor of The Sunday Times said:
The Sunday Times has broken three of the biggest global stories in recent memory, from the Lance Armstrong scandal to corruption in FIFA and blood doping in athletics. Our new international edition makes it easier than ever to read world class scoops like these first-hand, alongside the best writers and columnists in the UK.
The app will be available in 46 countries and can be purchased through the Apple iTunes app store, with Google Play stores soon to follow. The app will be available on both smartphone and tablet and international subscribers will have access to both products.
Readers will get a one-month free trial, after which the app is priced at the equivalent of £2.99 per month in local currencies.
