talkSPORT announces schedule shake-up for the new Premier League season,…

 

talkSPORT has added to its award-winning line up for the new season with more matches, top signings and new shows.

With over 450 games across the network this season, talkSPORT will cover more live games than anywhere else on radio, dominating in an unprecedented season like never before ahead of a winter World Cup and following England and Wales to Qatar.

Legendary former player and manager Graeme Souness is joining the line-up from this Monday, there is a brand new Saturday phone-in and live games on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays, including the first two Premier League games of the new season – Crystal Palace v Arsenal this Friday and Fulham v Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime. talkSPORT will also host Manchester United v Liverpool on Monday, August 22. And all for free!

The network has also launched a new marketing campaign “It’s time to turn to talkSPORT,” aimed at supporters who may not yet realise how many live games talkSPORT can offer across the Premier League, the WSL, the EFL, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, as well as international and European football, including the freshly-crowned England Lionesses.

As well as the extravaganza of live football, here are some of the shows to look out for on talkSPORT:

  • Legendary pundit Graeme Souness never shied away from a tackle in his life and will share the stage with the award-winning Jim White and Simon Jordan every Monday from 10am. Expect fireworks.
  • Adrian Durham, talkSPORT’s lead live football presenter, will host GameNight every Monday, alongside former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy and the live talkSPORT team.
  • Laura Woods, Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist will continue to deliver the No1 Sports Breakfast show.
  • Jamie O’Hara and Gabby Agbonlahor – two former Premier League favourites – will launch the fastest phone-in on a Saturday from this weekend.
  • Ex-England striker Darren Bent will join Andy Goldstein on Drive every day from 4pm.
  • Former Lioness Lianne Sanderson will co-present GameDay Countdown with Hugh Woozencroft every Friday night.
  • Fresh from retaining their recent IRN award for best live sports coverage, Reshmin Chowdhury will continue to lead the GameDay team every Saturday.
  • As part of a new look for Saturdays, YouTube sensation Mark Goldbridge kicks off his own show.
  • Recently retired Adebayo Akinfenwa will join the Boot Room team every Sunday.

The usual favourites, including Hawksbee and Jacobs, Jonny Owen and Friends, The Sports Bar, Trans Europe Express, The Warm Up, Fight Night and so many other live sports will be a regular part of the schedule across talkSPORT and talkSPORT2.
