Eddy Temple-Morris launches new live weekday show on Virgin Radio Anthems
Eddy continues to host classic Virgin Radio UK Sunday Specials series
Wednesday 13 December, 2023: Virgin Radio UK today confirms that consummate broadcaster Eddy Temple-Morris will launch a new live show on Virgin Radio Anthems in the new year.
Virgin Radio Anthems is one of three sister stations to Virgin Radio UK, alongside Virgin Radio Chilled and Virgin Radio 80s Plus, broadcasting online, on DAB and via the Virgin Radio UK app. The station delivers the very best anthems from the 70s, 80s and 90s - from The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac to Blur and Oasis. Eddy will take the helm of a new live show between 2 and 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
He will also continue to deliver brilliant Sunday Special documentaries for Virgin Radio UK. The must-listen Sunday evening documentaries and podcasts have seen Eddy interview some of the biggest stars around: from Tom Grennan and Simple Minds to Mumford & Sons, Snow Patrol and Stereophonics.
Eddy is an exemplary broadcaster with decades of experience in radio and TV. He joined Virgin Radio in 2017 and has built a loyal audience in the mid-morning slot, picking up the baton from Chris Evans at Breakfast. Previously Eddy has brought his broadcasting talents, deep knowledge of the music scene and warm, upbeat style to XFM, MTV and a raft of music and food focused radio and TV shows.
Eddy said: “The Virgin Radio team are the loveliest bunch of people I’ve ever worked with and I’m truly delighted to have the opportunity to stay, for the Sunday special programmes I love so much, to be available when daytime presenters are sick or sunbathing, and most importantly to help build something at Virgin Radio Anthems.”
Virgin Radio UK Content Director Mike Cass said: “Eddy Temple-Morris is simply a brilliant broadcaster, and totally gets the Virgin Radio ethos. His depth of knowledge means his documentary work with the Sunday Specials speak for themselves, and I’m delighted that he’s also taking on a new live show on Virgin Radio Anthems, as we develop and grow the station as the destination for legends of the 60s, 70s and 80s.”
