The Times and Sunday Times Christmas Appeal 2023 supports Whizz Kids, Feeding Britain and Street Child to carry out their vital work
The Times and The Sunday Times are joining forces once again for this year’s Christmas Appeal, asking readers to dig deep to support three charities.
This year the newsbrands are supporting organisations providing education for children living in crisis situations across the world, giving young people wheelchairs and mobility equipment and running food clubs across the UK to ensure healthy food for all.
Every pound donated to Street Child by readers of the Times and Sunday Times will be doubled up to £225,000. Of this matched funding, £150,000 will be provided by From Babies with Love, a baby clothing brand that donates 100 per cent profit to vulnerable children, and generous donations from Boodles, a luxury and fine diamond retailer, and an anonymous donor.
Every pound donated to Whizz Kidz will be matched up to £50,000, thanks to Barratts Developments Plc, while Prezzo, the Italian restaurant chain, has agreed to match donations to Feeding Britain, up to £15,000.
The generosity of readers helped to raise more than £2.1 million for last year’s Christmas appeal.

Whizz Kidz
Whizz Kidz is the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users. It creates opportunities for them to get the equipment, skills, and confidence to go further in life. More than 75,000 young people in the UK need to use a wheelchair to be mobile. Unfortunately, they cannot all access the equipment that meets their needs through local services. Whizz Kidz is here for all of them.
Feeding Britain
As much as 7 per cent of the UK population — 4.7 million people — were living in food poverty in 2021/2022. Feeding Britain works to prevent and eliminate hunger and destitution in the UK. Across its 85 regional and local networks there are 350 food clubs, pantries, and social supermarkets helping people on low incomes stretch their budgets further and access nutritious food.
Street Child
Street Child wants a world where every child is safe, in school and learning. Founded in Sierra Leone in 2008, the charity now works in more than 20 of the world’s poorest and most disaster-affected countries, including Afghanistan, Ukraine and Somalia. Street Child provides emergency aid and mental health support, builds schools, trains teachers, reunites families, develops livelihoods and helps out-of-school children into education.
