The Times and The Sunday Times have launched Times+ Talks, a new function in the smartphone app which allows subscribers to view Times+ events live whenever and wherever they like.
Times+ members (subscribers to the two newspapers) will be able to access the function through The Times and The Sunday Times app on iPhone and Android devices. They can then watch live events and highlights of past events on their smartphone.
Members will have their first opportunity to try out Times+ Talks tonight (26/11) for an exclusive Caitlin Moran event, where she will discuss her best-selling book How to be a Woman and her new hit Moranthology. Tickets to see the Times columnist sold out, but members will now have the chance to watch it live on their smartphone as well as on The Times and The Sunday Times website and tablet devices.
Suzi Watford, Marketing Director, The Times and The Sunday Times, said: "Times+ events sell out fast but with Times+ Talks we aim to let even those who can't attend the event join in.
"Our Caitlin Moran event for 1,000 members sold out within 48 hours, but with Times+ Talks all subscribers can watch live and interact by tweeting questions from the comfort of their sofa."
The latest smartphone app can be downloaded by going to the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android devices.
