talkSPORT travels to Australia to cover the Women's World Cup
Wednesday 19th July 2023: talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station, today announces it will cover every game of the Women’s World Cup. Kicking off on Thursday 20th July, the talkSPORT network will be across every game, with commentary of all England games and other key fixtures involving the Republic of Ireland and selected knockout matches, including the semi-finals and final.
talkSPORT’s lead presenter, Faye Carruthers, will be joined by former England striker Lianne Sanderson and Remi Allen, who played for Aston Villa in the Women’s Super League last season. Additionally, as well as commentators Joe Shennan and Charlotte Richardson. Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, who starred up front for Sheffield United last season, is talkSPORT’s England reporter in Australia. Early Sports Breakfast presenter Shebahn Aherne will be with the Republic of Ireland camp Down Under.
As well as coverage of the live games, Faye Carruthers will host a dedicated daily Women’s World Cup Show on talkSPORT2 at 6pm every weekday, and weekends when England are in action. The show will feature big name guests in the studio and the best of our correspondents out in Australia, with exclusive interviews inside the home nations camps. It will also be available as a daily podcast on the talkSPORT Women’s Football Show feed.

The Women’s World Cup will be available across the talkSPORT network from Thursday 20th July.
