Julian Davies, Director of Partner Sales, NI Group Ltd, said: "Retailers who offer HND provide a fantastic service to their local community. In recognition of this, and following discussions with the NFRN, we wanted to reward them by increasing their insert rates. I’m delighted that we now offer the best rates in the industry for the majority of weights."
Paul Baxter, NFRN Chief Executive, said: "Securing better payment rates for HND members for handling third party inserts is always high on the agenda at our face to face meetings with publishers as such inserts do incur extra work and costs. We are delighted that News International has responded so positively and so quickly to our call for increased payment. In taking this action, News International has clearly demonstrated that it recognises the importance of HND and how TPIs can impact on this in terms of extra resources or rounds. This is a great start to 2013 and we hope that it will be followed with similar action from other national newspaper publishers."
To promote home delivery in 2013, NI Group Ltd has also launched a new acquisition campaign for HND retailers. To register for a pack, please call 0845 072 3297.
