100 Days | How You Can Use Social Media To Support Evan Gershkovich
Today, Friday 7th July, marks 100 days since WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich was wrongfully detained by Russia and falsely accused of espionage. Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and the U.S. government vehemently deny the allegation, and we stand with Evan and his loved ones in seeking his immediate release.
It is vital to keep Evan’s story front and center, particularly as we reflect on this difficult milestone. We invite you to join the Journal and the broader Dow Jones community in helping us amplify Evan and activate your social networks for a social storm on Friday 7th July at 3:30 p.m. BST.
What to Post
● Group Photos: Consider taking group photos with #IStandWithEvan shirts, pins or printouts featuring 100-day-specific signage, available for download here.
● Social Cards: Download these social cards to post across your networks. Don’t forget to include the hashtag #IStandWithEvan in your posts.
● Evan’s Landing Page: Link to wsj.com/Evan to provide your networks with the latest updates on Evan and resources for how they can get involved.
● WSJ Print Wrap: Share photos of yourself holding up WSJ’s print edition on Friday, July 7, which will feature moving creative designed by the WSJ Print Team.
