talkSPORT partners with Sports Entertainment Network for new cricket show Road to the Ashes

Thursday 27th April 2023: talkSPORT 2 is partnering with Australian sports radio station Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) for a new cricket show, Road to the Ashes.

Road to the Ashes will be presented by former Australian cricketer and World Cup winner Simon O’Donnell, and double Ashes winner Steve Harmison. It will feature some huge names from Ashes series past and present, as well as inviting listeners from both sides of the planet to get involved.

The show will be broadcast on talkSPORT 2 every Friday between now and the start of the Ashes, and will also be available to listen to via talkSPORT’s Following On podcast from 5am every Friday.

talkSPORT Cricket Editor, Jon Norman said: “I’m delighted to continue talkSPORT’s partnership with SEN, which began with Australia's iconic Test tour of India and will continue to the most famous series of them all, the Ashes. With both Harmy and Simon coming in on the long run, it promises to be a show that matches the Ashes itself for competitiveness and drama.”

SEN National Radio Director, Sam Thompson commented: “We’re thrilled to once again partner with talkSPORT and share the excitement of the upcoming Ashes Series with Road to the Ashes. Our shared commitment to cricket and delivering the best possible content means our partnership is a natural fit. I look forward to bringing listeners together from both sides of the world to discuss what will be a fantastic series.”
