talkSPORT goes into bat again with The Cricketer
Tuesday 4th April 2023: talkSPORT has announced it is partnering with The Cricketer for a show on county cricket, starting this Thursday 6th April. Following On - County Cricketer will once again look to bring to life the county game for listeners, showcasing the best of cricket across the 18 counties.
The show will be presented by two-time County Championship winner, Steve Harmison and talkSPORT Cricket Editor Jon Norman, as well as The Cricketer's George Dobell and Nick Friend.
The show will broadcast on talkSPORT 2 and be available to listen to via talkSPORT’s Following On podcast.
Since 2018, talkSPORT has exclusively broadcast many of England’s major overseas tours, including series in Sri Lanka, the West Indies, South Africa, India and New Zealand.
The Cricketer Digital Editor, Sam Morshead said: "We're delighted to have renewed our partnership with talkSport for another year. The county game is the bedrock of our cricketing summer, and Following On: County Cricketer is dedicated to providing insight, analysis, commentary and colour from around the network. The podcast is designed with county fans in mind so, if your regular haunt is Hove or Headingley, Lord's or Leicester, there'll be something for you."

talkSPORT’s Cricket Editor, Jon Norman said: “As all cricket fans know, April and May is about county cricket and I’m delighted that for the second year running, national radio will have its own dedicated county cricket show on talkSPORT 2 running throughout the summer, one that will be also available as a podcast on the Following On feed.”
Following On - County Cricketer will be available on the Following On Podcast feed from 4pm every Wednesday and broadcast across Thursday and Friday on talkSPORT 2.
