Former Teletext Holidays Managing Director to spearhead development of publisher’s travel offer
News UK announced today that Victoria Sanders, has been appointed to head up its commercial travel team. As its new Head of Travel she brings a decade of business development and marketing experience gained at Teletext Holidays, including four years as its Managing Director.
Victoria will lead the business development for all travel products, promotions and offers across The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine and The Sun as well as for for their respective customer loyalty programmes, Times+ and Sun+.
Historically The Sun’s £9.50 holidays have been a key part of its offer to its readers and a major driver of sales for a quarter of a century. Over 38 million people have enjoyed a great value break at some of the UK and Europe’s leading holiday parks making The Sun the UK’s largest short-break travel operator.
With the travel market being such a key investment opportunity for News UK Victoria’s primary focus will be to deliver a comprehensive ecommerce strategy for the business and its titles. This includes building new digital platforms to maximise advertising and other commercial opportunities and capitalising on the loyalty of the brands, and the wealth of readership data, to offer them the travel products and services we know they want.
