London, 02 November 2023: Award-winning broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer brings her brilliant brand of no-nonsense news analysis and political debate to a new mid-morning slot - from 10am to 1pm weekdays - on TalkTV and TalkRadio from Monday 6th November.
One of the most outspoken and respected voices in British broadcasting, she will navigate viewers and listeners through the biggest current affairs and political stories of the day, with the best guests, expert opinion and her own unique robust analysis.
Julia said: “Let’s be honest, the starting pistol has gone for the election campaign next year. As every politician begins every sentence with the words ‘what the people want’ from here on in, I’ll be testing all those lazy assumptions with the very best guests and input from, dare I say it, ‘the people’ themselves!”
Meanwhile, the institution which is the Independent Republic of Mike Republic will provide destination viewing at the other end of the day, in a new weeknight slot from 9pm to 11pm. Making some sort of sense of the top stories of the day, with fiery debate and humour, the Independent Republic of Mike Graham gives a voice to the nation. The audience who are at the heart of the show, will get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, only on Talk TV and TalkRadio.
Mike Graham said: “The Independent Republic is a state of mind, and that state has a new location - 9pm to 11pm every weeknight on Talk. We’ll be dining out on the big news stories of the day, serving up a tasting menu of common sense, and everyone’s invited to tuck in.”
At the same time The Talk finds a new home at 6pm. Airing every weeknight, and covering all the most contentious stories of the day from politics to crime; health to entertainment, the Talk panel brings together five strong opinions each night - all from different backgrounds - in an honest and no nonsense discussion.
The rotating cast of panellists includes the legendary Sharon Osbourne, broadcasters Daisy McAndrew and Ian Collins and journalist JJ Anisiobi, and all five will serve up their outspoken views across 60 minutes of fierce opinion and debate.
And a new show - CrossTalk - launches next week, from 1pm to 3pm each weekday, confronting the day's biggest news with analysis, fierce debate and feisty humour. Hosts Kevin O'Sullivan and Alex Philips join forces, bringing their uniquely sharp perspective and laser-like focus to the most important stories and events of the day. Sometimes Kev and Alex agree, often they don't. One thing is certain, CrossTalk will never be dull.
The schedule changes start from Monday 6th November. Watch TalkTV, available on Sky 522, Sky Glass 508, Virgin Media 606, Freeview 237 and Freesat 217 as well as on DAB, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus, YouTube, the Talk.TV website and TalkTV iOS and Android apps.
